Senior Annotator
We're looking for an experienced annotation leader who can manage a team, enforce quality, and design annotation workflows for complex robotics, teleoperation, and video-based action datasets.

The Role — Data Annotator / Team Lead
We're looking for an experienced annotation leader who can manage a team, enforce quality, and design annotation workflows for complex robotics, teleoperation, and video-based action datasets. This role is critical: the quality of our annotations directly influences how robots learn in the real world. Ideal experience: 3–5+ years in high-precision annotation work (video, frame-level segmentation, action tagging, or robotic demonstration labeling), with team leadership responsibilities.
What You'll Do
- •Lead a team of annotators working on video, sensor, and trajectory datasets.
- •Design and maintain annotation standards for action boundaries, object interactions, hand poses, task success/failure, and multimodal alignment.
- •Review and score annotations, enforce consistency, and manage correction loops.
- •Work closely with Data Science and ML teams to shape annotation schemas that feed imitation learning, evaluator models, and robotic policy training.
- •Identify ambiguities, failure cases, and unclear instructions — and propose tighter definitions.
- •Train new annotators, maintain documentation, and monitor team throughput vs. quality metrics.
- •Drive continuous improvement: less noise, fewer ambiguities, more signal.
Who You Are
- •3–5+ years in video annotation, robotics data labeling, action recognition tagging, or similar.
- •Has led a small team or supervised annotation groups with measurable output.
- •Obsessed with detail — comfortable making hard judgment calls on ambiguous frames or motions.
- •Understands how annotation choices affect downstream ML models (or is eager to learn quickly).
- •Organized, reliable, and able to enforce standards without micromanagement.
- •Bonus: experience with tools like CVAT, Label Studio, Voxel/3D labeling systems, or teleop trajectory annotation.
Why Humaid
- •Your work directly shapes how robots learn to act in the real world.
- •Access to unique industrial environments (via AKFA Group) — real tasks, real edge cases.
- •Collaborate with DS/ML teams working under guidance from Rus Salakhutdinov on frontier embodied-AI pipelines.
- •Growth path toward Annotation Operations Lead or Data Quality Manager as we scale.
- •Fast execution culture; minimal bureaucracy.
